Yep it's here!  The wife said it was from AZ??? it's from OH!  She knew mine was going to AZ so assumed (w/o looking) that was where mine was from.  Only 2 letters off honey!  Can hardly wait to open it but I have to wait til it's a little closer to Christmas right?

I'm not home but wife says I received a package in the mail from AZ. Not from my daughter who lives there so I'm guessing my secret Santa has come through already.  Guess I?ll have to get started when I get home...

Don't forget Jose Quervo, I've spent time with each of those guys, they're very understanding and ask few questions.

Thanks all, I went with the matte finish, put it in a book after it dried and will see how it looks in the morning.

So I have made over 100 bookmarks, put the blo/ms (50/50) on them, wiped them down, let them air for 2 days and they still leave a bit of an oil mark on the book page.  Will this ever dry??  What have you done?

The numbers are after you take the test and fill out age and gender.
It took me a while to figure out how to take the test, and my first result was around 180 and I took it over and made 191.

Take it again and lean back away from your monitor especially if it's a plasma type rather than a tube type due to the distortion.
I suspect you will improve your score. I also learned the colors are gradual in their changes and that makes it harder to discern.

I got a 185 and that was with my wife cheating for me cuz I was soooooooo bad!

Well I decided on a simple Mickey silhouette. I stack cut 15 at a time of 1/32", took 7 stacks and did 105.  Don't think I'll post a pix due to the possible problems with Walt and friends.  I used blo/min.spirits, they look great.  Thanks for the suggestions and listening to me stress.

Did you use any finish?  I'd hate to use something that would rub off in the book.

Pete

Thanks Pete. I usually give them a quick dip in BLO/mineral spirits (50/50) but on these there is no finish. Once sanded they feel great to hold.

Now a question to you, where did you get the 1/32" walnut? Is it solid or ply? Thanks.

I went to Ocooch (however you spell it) hardwoods, they are only an hour from where I live, cut it while I waited.  Solid walnut.

I decided to just go with a basic Mickey, I'm giving them away so don't think the Disney police will be after me.  I have done 105, one more question, do you put a finish on the ones you have made?  What kind or do you just leave them bare?  I've made them from walnut if that matters.

Thanks again Pete

Nice work, I am in the process of making 105 for a cruise next week, mine are from  1/32" walnut.  Did you use any finish?  I'd hate to use something that would rub off in the book.
