My niece got married this year so I made them a 1st Christmas ornament.  The pattern is Steve's that I modified to hold a photo.
I found that I could route a rabbit on the back side of the photo hole and that way I don't need to buy a photo insert.

Itried one of these a long time ago but it gave me a headache if I used it for any length of time.  I have a mag. that clips on the bill of a baseball cap and have used it for years.  No headaches.

I only have a 10 inch band saw, not as big as your 14 inch but I made a base using 2 x 4's with lap joints then put furniture slides under it.  Mounted my band saw on top.  It is stable but I can still slide it out of its storage corner to use it and then slide it back after I use it.

14 inch throat but only 6 inch resaw  if I'm reading it correct.  My Delta has 7 inch resaw and I'm not happy and wont  at least 12.

Made a home made version using a steel bar and a bungie cord.  Works great.

If I could afford it the Ricon Deluxe 14 is the one I have been wanting for over 4 yrs now.  It has gotten great reviews from all working magazines.

Raw linseed oil is what artist use to thin their oil paint to make it flow smoother.  You can get it at artist supply stores.  It also take a lot longer to dry.  Like months.

I use them so much that I now have 4 of them.  1 is mounted in a homemade router table designed just for the Dremal and use 1/8 router bits. 1 with a flex shaft and 1 in the Dremal drill press and 1 to use free hand.

I agree cut both ways, however the left side of the blade will give you a smoother cut so I cut inside cuts counter and outside clockwise where possible.  On delicate pieces cut inside cuts the direction that will give you the best advantage not to break off.
