how to remove the blade holder set screw on a poeter cable scroll saw ? the screw will not move!,tryed wd40. afread of

 brake the blader holder

The set screw probably has Locktite on it.  It will take extra pressure to get it to loosen.  Maybe some heat (hair dryer maybe) will help to loosen it.  Try to hold the blade holder firmly when you apply pressure to the set screw.  Maybe remove the holder from the saw so you can get a better grip on it.  I use a medium strength locktite.

Not on removing the screw as asked but an early gun smith trick on small screws that held an optics scope on was to use finger nail polish on the threads. Would dry as mild lock tight but the screw could be removed without a fight.
