Still not back in the workshop
« on: August 09, 2015, 05:11:19 am »
Hi you all,
It has been a while since I was here an since I've been cutting in my workshop.
4th of May I cut into my finger as you might know.
Terrible healing process ever since.
After 6 weeks of agony the doc pulled out a hidden piece of fingernail....
About 1/3 of my whole fingernail.
I between I had developed necrosis.
A part of what was stitched back did died and became black.
About 2,5 week ago doc did cut of  85% of the dead tissue, only problem was the anesthetic didn't work well.
And he did removed an other 1/3 healthy fingernail.
I'm quite angry about that.
Meanwhile my joints got "frozen " so overall a painful process.
But think it's going the right way now.
Enjoy my vacation and started with exercise now.
Can't wait till The last parts of dead tissue and scabs will fall of.
Bin over 3 months now....
So I woul like to go back cutting some wood again.

Sounds as though you have been through the mill.  Maybe now that you are recovering, things will turn around and become more positive.

.... long story.....
May 4th the accident.
Necrosis was cut of July 21th.
just a small part of that was left there and had to grow off.
didn't happen so back to the surgeon this week....
first time since May they made an X-ray
bad results, seems that that piece of necrosis is actually a loose piece of bone sticking out.
It didn't grow back to the digit and they will remove that part.
while they are in there... they dull the piece that's stays in the finger.
so back to surgery, is planned for October 21th....
...long story....

 :( :'(

Well poop!  :( But hang in there  ;D Read, relax and plan for all the things will do when everything is all better.  Sounds like the doctor should have been keeping better tabs on this situation.  Remember they only have a license to "practice"
