Those are pretty cool flybys. I have been stationed on aircraft carriers for over 9 years and it is always neat to watch a low flyby. I have seen a low altitude flyby breaking the sound barrier and that is one awesome sight, you see the plane coming and it fly's right by you and then the BOOM!!! It kinda scares you the first time.

Great stuff GrayBeard. I was at an air show a few years ago when an f16 went vertical after a low flyby like in the video. He came down the runway at about 20 feet off the deck then right in front of us went vertical. Before you could catch your breath he disappeared. That was incredible then a Harrier jump jet hovered off the runway about 100 feet from us. The ground shook and you could feel the sound pressing on your chest. One of his thrusters burped and he had to do an emergency landing. He was a bit shook up when he got out.

Thats way cool. Hey I made You Tube once. Type in THFD. I'm on the 5th page talking about our new pumper. And if I do say so myself, It looks pretty good. I speced out that pump, and drove it to the wet down. Dave

Low flybys are cool allright but, in my book nothing beats the 'Thunderbirds' or the 'Blue Angles' doing their thing at air shows.
If you cant apreicate what they do, you have never been off the ground before!

Rog...I have a bunch of pix of the Blue Angels performing at San Francisco "Fleet Week" celebration that are totally unbelievable!
One in particular shows the 'jet' in a low pass over the bay and he is trailing a 'boom' wave and actually closer to the water than the tops of some of the masts on the sailboats anchored in the bay!
My grandson is training right now to be a Navy 'jet jockey' and I hope that some day he will be in one of the BLUE jets! He has been at the very top of his class since Kindergarten and all the way to flight training.
Go NAVY!!!

Love the video, however did # 1 not hit a bird? I love watching jet or planes of any kind fly. But you see me doing it. LOL
