This is Mahendra's Samurai. It is on 8"x10" 1/4" BB Ply with a black walnut stand.

If you cut this pattern, you might want to add a bridge or two to the bottom end of his robes - this is barely hanging on by a small piece on the left end.

Ray, thank you very much for cutting this pattern :) looks very,very nice. I wish I could open this into a bigger size, and save it.
Will take care next time in attempting patterns which have thin bridges( still learning ;) )
Normally,I attempt patterns which are scroller friendly :) ,like my teacher ,I too hate unrequired small holes and too detailed- I guess ,every one has his or her interpretation of a subject.

Very nicely done!  I like the cutting and have it in my stack of "things to do". 

I am curious about your stand - would you be willing to post some additional information regarding the stand?

Al - This is the 2nd from the stack - I gave the 1st to my Tai Chi instructor last night. She's big into the W C C Chen sword form.

This is 1/4" BB Ply with black felt backing.

The base is cut from 1"x2" black walnut. In this one I did some rounding on the portrait, so I added rounding to the base. The portrait is 8"x10" with a 1" radius on each corner, so it has a flat bottom edge 6" long. The 1x2 walnut was cut on the scroll saw with a 1" radius on the 4 corners, so it makes a 1" thick oblong 2"x6" with round edges.

On this one I used a 3/8" round-over bit in the router to round the top edge.

Then set the table saw blade to 3/8" high and tilted 6 degrees, and took a few cuts to get a slot wide enough for the portrait to slip into. I don't have a dado blade set, so about 2.5 passes of the carbide tipped blade was enough to fit the portrait with felt.
