Hello From Eastern Wisconsin

Hello, everyone! My name is Andy. I'm 28 and I've finally acquired my first scrollsaw. It's honestly a hunk of junk! It is labeled as a Central Machinery jobber with a model number that the internet doesn't even recognize. But I'm so excited about finally having one I don't care. I need to make a few modifications for it to work a little better, bend a thing or two and use some shim-stock here and there but for 18 dollars and change I really can't complain since I'm a beginner and it does cut wood and I'm just learning the basics. I've started out by practicing a pattern for a cone speaker from the Hobbies archive and I have a few practice lines that I'll work on also. I've always admired others use of the scrollsaw and now I can soon be proud of my own
Anyway, I'm glad to be here and I'd like to thank Steve G. for offering so many fine patterns to the public, how awesome is that. I hope to contribute across the board and offer some of my own patterns to whomever as soon as I can find the "off" button on this thing
Nice to meet you all!

Thanks for the welcome, Gramps.
I'm not too far from Port Washington myself. I live outside of Oostburg, about 15 miles north of Port. We must be pretty close.

Hi Andy, I am Jeff44 from Georgia, welcome aboard. My first scrollsaw was a Central machinery, I still have and it still works. I just use it for heavy duty work, like cutting Teak.
