Hello all,
I just signed up and wanted to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Mickey, and I just got my first scroll saw last year. I have a nice little workshop set up, and my scroll saw is at the center of just about every project that comes through the place.
Just three weeks ago, I opened a store on Etsy, and have already sold my first piece. It was the "Nose" eye glasses holder that Steve was so kind to load into his free pattern catalog. I actually just cut the piece today, and am waiting on the glue to dry so that I may stain it and get it sent off this week.
My main focus on the scroll saw is Christmas ornaments. I think they make a perfect gift for all those extended family members whom you always want to buy something for, but never have enough in the budget. Cutting ornaments is also how I keep those gifts personal. You can find a pattern for just about any interest anyone would have.
I live in a small town in southwest Virginia. I'm married, and have two young daughters. The daughters keep my scroll saw quiet busy with requests for anything cat related.
I think that's enough about me for now. I hope to be able to remain active, as I love idea of mingling folks with the same interests.
Sincerely,
Mickey Yarber
