Where to get
« on: May 31, 2010, 07:35:37 pm »
  Steve,

Now that I have my 788 I was wondering where you get those levers on your 788 that you use to hold the blades in place? Do you need one for the top and bottom? Or??

If you mean the extension handle for the blade clamp I am pretty sure there is a pattern in Steve's catalog or a 'video' of how to make and attach.
I'm just ecstatic that I don't have to use a 'metric' nut driver to tighten the lower clamp any more!!!

The link below will take you to the lever I purchased. It needs to be modified to shorten the bolt. I did a post on the lever in December of 2009 if I remember correct. It post shows how I made it work. Let me know if you can't find it.

 Steve,

Thanks! The web address in your message took me right to them. I am assuming that you sent me to the 6 mm size as that's the size required for the 788?

Thanks again Steve. Searched your blog and found the post you used describing what needed to be done to shorten the quick clamp lever. It's on the Dec. 21, 2009 page for those wanting to look at it.

I looked through both pages of the free patterns and didn't find the pattern for the blade clamp.  Maybe I missed it both times can someone repost or email it to me please??

That's right, Judy!

Let the dog do the dishes! There's IMPORTANT stuff to be done!!!!

Glad I could help out. I just saw that thing Sunday and had to re-engage the Sr. Brain Section and try to figure out where!

Happy to oblige!
