Found one on Craigs list in Milwaukee, ooooh you don't know how much I'd like to drive over and buy it but alas, I refuse to buy a new saw until I've earned enough with my Dremel to pay for it...that could take a while

Didn't see anyone from here as far as I know, since this was my first I was overwhelmed with workmanship, detail-detail-detail.  I have so far to go to consider myself at that level.  Picked up some nice thin cut hardwoods, several distributors there, and a few items I had heard of but never tried and saw some I didn't  know existed for scrolling. I sat with Denny (a wood carver) for nearly an hour while he gave me free instructions on the proper use of carving tools a hobby I would also like to learn.  I'm going back tomorrow (it's only an hr. from my home) cuz I know I missed alot.  Quite a few saws on display. There were several guys there doing coin cutting, I had never seen that done before. The wife said"ooooh I like that, why don't you try that one", way too many times.

just got into scrolling a few months ago, wrestling with a used Dremel, if I ever become accomplished enough and sell items ALL the proceeds will go for a Dewalt 788 unless I hear of a better for the money one around

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: collapsable basket

thanks it ended up being 3 1/2 degrees, i took a semi calculated guess - about the tilting, i automatically disc sand the outer rim of the basket and that works pretty well

I enlarged a pattern to 130%, anyone do enough of these to know how to decide what angle to tilt the blade, the original was a 4 1/2" oval now it's about 8 1/4" I know I could use a piece of scrap but as you all well know there is no such thing as "scrap wood" at least not in my hovel of a shop
