Ask Steve a question. / Re: cnc

Steve does not come often here to answer questions.

I suggest you email him.  Depends how busy he is.

All Steve's patterns can be opened in Inkscape and you can get an svg.

You sometimes have to group paths or do union as Steve adds veining lettering in separate paths.  I depend on what you want to cut.

I know Inkscape has  a whole extension on gcodetools.  I know there are youtube videos on this subject.

Ask Steve a question. / Re: 3D keychain Program
« on: December 01, 2020, 08:02:12 pm »
Don't think Steve every created a program to do 3d patterns.  There is the regular keychain program in his daily blog it is way way down.

In the catalog there are a number of patterns that he has done.  https://www.stevedgood.com/catalog/index.php  Search for 3D

If you want to do you own you have to do your own in either Inkscape or equivalent.

I have done a few for other folks.

Can't locate the pictures but this is a key chain that I started with the Dale Earnhart key chain.

The Pegas stand looks the same as for the EX.

I fitted a shelf on the bottom rails.  It makes it a little sturdier and it is easier to do as you assemble.

Enjoy.

https://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/2020_05_05_archive.html

If you go to the blog an on the left side is the archive of each day listed.

Also if you go to the pattern catalog.  Search for family and you look there.

Pete I will check with my laser supplier to see if he is still doing them.  I have no idea of the cost and the shipping.  I will probably her tonight.

Our club has a virtual meeting and he is usually on.

His design not quite the same.

Let me know if you hear from Steve.

Hi Bob

The one that  Dan is speaking of is https://www.stevedgood.com/santalovesme.pdf

I looked at it and thought I could just cut out the dog add a cat do something with the bone and it turned out to be more than I could handle.

It would be easy to do if the paths were separate so that is why I suggested to email Steve.

Not sure it is Steve's as I couldn't find but do you know the size.

I have a font very similar (Milkshake(=) and could come close or are you looking for the twin?

I would suggest sending Steve an email as he rarely comes to the forum.

You might not get an answer but he does read them all.

Busy guy.

Check out https://woodcraftbyscott.com/collections/scroll-saw-patterns

These are Harvey Byler's patterns for $3.00 each.  Scott has a few videos on how he sell these and he will give you lots of advice.

Scott is one of the good guys.  Known as Iguanadon on SSV.  I know there are few puzzle zombies out there

They are also available at https://woodenteddybear.com/collections/other-puzzles for about $4 and there are more than Scott has.
