Celebrating freedom
« on: September 18, 2014, 01:11:34 pm »
This week in Holland we have a memorial celebration week that 70 years ago the south of our country was liberated from the war.
Operation Market Garden, also called 1 bridge to far.
All kind of events and lots of reanactors and old vehicles.
people jump with parachutes and also modern USA soldiers come over to join the parades and give demonstrations.

We can't give enough honor to those who liberated us and even more who to them who  gave their lives back then doing so!!
Freedom is the most precious gift we have!

Thank you Marcell, those two videos jog our memories for all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and we should never forget. Thank you again Marcell. Take care.

Thank you for the info.  When things are going relativity smoothly we seem to readily forget what sacrifices were made to get us there.

Thank you. A reminder that freedom is not free.
