I like fruitcake also...

First thing I do is unwrap, soak in Bourbon and wrap in a linen towel soaked in Bourbon and then wrap in foil until New Year's Day!

Makes my New Year very Happy!

My daughter makes an awesome fruit cake it only as fruit, flour and orange juice in it.  Uuuuuuummmmmmmm yum

I like it too, and no one else in the family does. We had a Christmas party last Saturday and I put some out thinking I'd be the only one to have any. Well, I have an uncle who sad to say is in the beginning stages of dementia. He was eating away at it. I said to him how I thought I was the only one who loved fruit cake. He responded by saying he hates fruit cake, but the stuff he was eating was great. I let it go at that.
