Very beautiful.  How many hours do you think it took you?  Working on one project like yours would make me lose interest.  Cheers Brian B

I am full of excuses. My pic tower died and I can't reduce photos on my iPad to post.  :(  Then after the 1st of the year I got a virus know labeled as PMR inflamation. My hands blow up and have NO strength to tighten a blade holder. The final blow is finding the steroid they give me has the side affect of increasing cataract deteration. Haven't scrolled since Feb. '17.  And yes Tonman yard work is now in season. Baa Humbug.  Can'teven mow so I hire my grandson. There should be a gated community center for us seniors providing any/all medical needs, with a community center full of good shop machine/tools, and of course, a good coffee corner with a computer or two for posting. Judy I'll try to do better now that I've been diagnosed.  Cheers Brian

I know you'll gone through a lot of hoops to get back at sawing - but - I'd sent it back and ask for a replacement. Amazon has a great return policy.  I think if you keep the saw the "bend" is only going to put excessive wear on the bearing on one/both sides of the head and going to need down time later.  Just my two cents :).  Cheers Brian B

Just finished this 10 year old pattern. No - while it seemed to take forever - with the cold shop weather etc it took about 3 months. PS - the frog worked out scale wise so I added it. It was cut by FD Mike 2-3 years ago. Thanks for looking. Cheers Brian

Very nice project/video. Thanks for showing us. PS if you scrolled the name in before routing in the lid, you would have routed away any tear out. But that would have meant scrolling the name through the thicker lid. That wouldn't have been my choice. I think you had it planed out perfect. Cheers  Brian

The table has to have steel surface. Aluminum or other metals will let the gage slip off. Trust me - it does on my Hegner & RBI.  Cheers Brian

Yea Jim. But what does your bride use now? :). Cheers Brian

This digital angle gauge is great for all dead on settings. I use mine on the table saw, drill press, band saw, and of course, scroll saw. My scroll saw is not a tilt head so I just set it on the table.    My blade has been set square to the table so when I zero out the gage, I can tilt my saw to what I want. The gage is to sensitive though and when I think I've got the right setting my locking the table usually changes the angle by of few decimals. I'm usually setting 3,4, up to 10 degrees, so the gage doesn't slide off the table.  However, if you were to set up for a 45 degree it would slide off. Cheers Brian

Yes RJ I have bought from them. Not a lot but enough to feel at ease buying from them. I think the return shipping policy is far. After all someone could have opened a shipment and not handled storage properly, then wanted better boards or different graining. The order turnover is my only "complaint". But then I would rather see them not rush my order at the expense of quality. cherry Brian

General Scroll Saw Talk / Hearing protection

I like to listen to music when I scroll but the problem is the competing noise from my shop vac & the scroll saw itself. I've had my eye on ear protection which allows for both protection and music. Normally in the $77 plus price range, I haven't taken the plunge.  HOWEVER, Rockler.com ran a special after the first of the year and again today for "work tunes digital tune/MP3 head set (#25873) for 29.99 plus 7.99 shipping. I bought mine Dec.'16 and think they're GREAT.  I haven't hooked up my MP3 to it yet. MP3 player not included. They do included the required cable though. If this is of interest check them out.  Cheers Brian
