Remember those who keep us free and safe this weekend

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me. -Lee Greenwood

Everyone have a Safe and Happy Memorial Day.

Brag Forum / Mothers Day Heart w/ Wings
« on: May 07, 2010, 04:58:53 pm »
Here is another Heart idea I made just in time for Mothers Day . The Halo is made from Shimmer Sticks I got at Wally-World. The wood is from scrap pine. My first cut from any pattern I make is usually from scraps to make sure the pattern works. Anyone wanting the pattern just e-mail me.

Brag Forum / Mothers Day Heart
« on: May 01, 2010, 10:06:00 am »
I wanted to make a pattern for the novice scrollers that was simple yet elegant.
I hope I achieved it in this picture. Anyone wanting the pattern can e-mail me. I tried to upload it but it was to big, even after I zipped the file. For future reference I am working on a website to show my work and will post patterns I make there.
PS:  The pattern I will e-mail is in .pdf form ready to print.  8)

Pattern Requests. / !!!Requesting A Pattern Help!!!
« on: April 22, 2010, 12:19:20 pm »
When requesting a pattern from a picture you have, First; make sure it is not copyrighted and or you have permission to use it. Second; size, quality, resolution, brightness all help determine the patterns detail. I realize that web sites have limits to uploads, so just keep that in mind when choosing a picture for a pattern.... Hope this helps someone.  8)

General Scroll Saw Talk / Dust Collection
« on: April 20, 2010, 10:22:07 pm »
I am courious as to what members use for dust collection. I use a combination. Shop vacs for some of my tools and a clothes dryer motor/fan for my scrollsaw that vents to the outside. I made a cowling around my scrollsaw and a 1 1/4" vac tube goes to the dust port on the scrollsaw. The fan, light and saw on a power strip, one button and all three have power. The cowling and dryer/fan work great and it is very quiet compared to the shop vacs. I can hear the radio while I am making scrollsaw dust.  8)
