i'm going to pretend that all the nice things said here for newbies apply to me as well...at least til you get to know me.
i'm clayton (crshedd) and i just joined today. i will start my first project in about 2 weeks (i'm heading out to see the kids). i live in pearland, tx but originally from california.
i asked this in the 'welcome' forum but i will ask here also:
    can you scroll foam board? i am interested mainly in 1/4" but am open to other thicknesses.
looking forward to this new endeavor. i'm a bit shy so i won't post too much but i will read everything!
thanx for all your help i will be begging for.

never tried but don't see why not, probably nest to go slow loke idle speed and corsae blade

I have the small Seyco type with magnet hold in-feed  under the table close to the blade. Works well bit noisier than I thought it would be but not a problem as I wear hearing protection most of the time.

In the left-hand column of the blog, there is a search box. Type gnome and let the blog refresh. It will show every post that has the word seared for in it.
After a few posts, you will come to a (next post-previous post black bar). Click next post and it will continue searching.

I am a slow learner and I have followed this site for years, used many patterns and never realized this spot to find past blogs. WOW

Some wood is more prone to chipping, and some plywoods seem to shorten blade life . i have the best luck with baltic birch but sometimes the grain is blande
