I've been running many 2/0 Pmg blades in my Hegners and have never seen or had a problem. It is my go to blade for everything 1/4" and less, both for BB or hardwood.

I'd listen to music except that I'm almost deaf. So sad!

I agree with Buey1. I find them interesting and unique but would never consider cutting one. But that is just me.

I can't post photos as my files exceed 128kb. Never a problem on Scroll Saw Village. Otherwise I would post here.

I just turned 80 and started scrolling about two years ago. I have a nice Hawk and enjoy every minute of scrolling. I wear 3+ reading glasses and need good light. I have neuropathy in my fingers and  scroll at moderate speeds. Scrolling is wonderful therapy For us old fellows. I also remove my hearing aids and wear hearing protection. Nice not to hear my saw and dust collection.

Here is a great way to compare the size of the signs to a couple of folks standing beneath it.

Ray, is that you with the beautiful lady?

How big is  your Burma-Shave sign?  Does anyone know the size of the original road-side signs?

Dennis

I'm not in my shop now but I guess it is 11 or 12" long.

Google Burma-Shave. You will find it most interesting. They were advertising signs all along America's highways with clever slogans. I'll be 80 in November I guess I'm a bit older.

Car cut from cheap pine using a #7 skip tooth Olsen or is it Olson blade? I forget if he's Swede or Norwegian. That was for the outside cut. All inside cuts were #3 Pegas mg blade. The base is Poplar from an old discarded dresser drawer. Finish is Minwax stains with a couple of coats of gloss poly in a rattle can.

I guess i'm in the minority. I use plain old pine for most everything.  I have a supply of poplar which I use at times. Since I sell nothing and only give things away pine is fine. I do some projects that are fairly delicate but I use extreme care. I'm also very careful with the mop.
