My Dewalt Scroll saw has been speeding up on its own when I am cutting.  I have used compressed air to clean out under the hood where the speed dial is.  What else could it be?  Is it something I can fix?

I have been very happy with my 788.  Yesterday when I started using it, the speed accelerated to as fast as it would go.  The speed control would not work.  I took off the hood and put it back on.  The speed control worked but as soon as I started cutting the saw sped back up to full speed.  Is this a common problem?  Is it easily repaired?  It is under warranty.  Please help
