I have always used the lemon oil furniture polish finish on baltic birch. What are other options you would recommend?

Ask Steve a question. / The Lifter for DeWalt 788
« on: April 17, 2019, 08:27:00 pm »
Steve my old DeWalt crashed after many years of good performa nce using The Lifter for over 12 years. I bought another DeWalt and intend to move The Lifter to it. Some sites now infer that doing so will affect the warranty. Do you know if it will, it did great on my other saw and was certainly mot a problem .  Thanks.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Easy Lift
« on: December 22, 2018, 07:19:29 pm »
I just replaced my Dewalt 788 which I have had for many years and have used the Easy Lift and planned to move it to my new saw. Then I read some posts suggesting that using it could affect the warranty. I am talking about the older model lift where you need to trim away a bit if the on/off switch plastic cover. Does anyone know if installing and using it does affect the warranty.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Painting baltic birch plywood
« on: December 03, 2018, 12:04:32 am »
I am going to try painting baltic birch plywood for the first time. Do I need to use a primer or can it just be painted. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I have always used Steves lemon oil finishing technique with it and this will be my first time painting. Thanks.

Has anyone used the modge podge Steve talks about on one of the new patterns he has posted? If so how difficult is it to use?

General Scroll Saw Talk / Wedding cake topper questions.
« on: April 26, 2018, 07:49:33 pm »
I am cutting a wedding cake topper pattern from Steve's patterns. I thought I would do baltic birch but have never painted a baltic birch cutting. Always do lemon oil dip. I need this one to be colored however, any suggestions on how to paint it. Do I need a special paint and primer? Appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

My thanks to both of you but I have been able to find the logo. I guess I didn't make my self clear, I am looking for a pattern, I am not a pattern maker. Again, my thanks for your responses.

Pattern Requests. / FFA Pattern

My Grand daughter is very involved with FFA. I would like to cut something for her and thought maybe a replica of the FFA logo or something similar would be nice. Have not been able to find a pattern and would appreciate any leads if anyone has them. Thank you.

Tom I checked Hobby Lobby web site and did not find photo matting. Could they possibly call it something else?
