Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / Scroll calligraphy font
« on: September 25, 2016, 10:18:13 am »
Hi. My computer got replaced and I seem to have lost my scroll fonts that I use. Can anyone tell me where I can get a copy of the scroll calligraphy font?  This time I will also save it on a flash drive. I have been asked to make a plaque for someone to give as a gift and they need it in a week and I can't find my fonts. Can anyone please help? It won't let me post a pic of the sample because it says the file is too large. Thanks.

I love my ornaments too. I got several. I think it is great to see what other people are making and to have something on the tree that was given by someone who shares the love of scrolling.

It is nice to see fellow Canadians here. I am originally from Edmonton but currently live in Newfoundland.  Totally the opposite of the usual Newfoundlanders moving to Alberta. I am coming "home" to  Edmonton in June and going to visit the mountains which I miss.

Introduce Yourself. / Hi from Gander Newfoundland Canada

I thought I had posted before but I can't find it so I guess I didn't. I live in Gander Newfoundland and have been scrolling for about 5 years now. I bought the scroll saw for my husband and he showed me how to use it because he prefers to do intarsia on the band saw. I like doing intarsia on the scroll saw because I want to keep my fingers trying to cut out the small pieces and I also do fretwork. I have also done some gift portraits for people where I make the pattern from a photo.  I work for the Federal Government so this hobby is my stress reliever but I cannot buy any thin wood or other supplies or patterns here in town so I shop on the internet or go to Kents in St.John's for wood when I can but it is a long drive.  I really like these sites to get ideas, help from other scrollers and you can't beat the free patterns these generous designers make for us! Thanks a lot!

Hi. I am in Gander. I didn't realize there were others from Newfoundland here. I don't know anyone around me who does woodworking other than my husband who got me into it and I am hooked!
