When I finish each project, I will fold bag into pad and go over each item.
It makes the piece smooth as silk. Has anyone tried this? It doesn't matter
if project has a finish or unfinished, painted or unpainted, it does an
amazing job. I read that it was the chemicals in the paper that make
the wood smooth. I call it my "bag pad".

Yes I use it most all of the time. It is much more appealing when a customer touches or picks up a piece.
I would suggest compare two items with and without the paper bag method. I don't know why or how it works but it works and only takes a few seconds to wipe each piece.

It is not the chemicals in the paper. It is the texture of the paper that does it. Brown paper bags have a grit about equal to 4000 grit sand paper. I have even gone on down to white typing paper (8000 grit) but, found it to be a waste of time and effort.
