Title: a new tool in the workshop

Well passed my sell by date,I find that i tend to drop things,I have found a in our pharmacist a gadget called a helping hand with a opening claw and magnet on the end for picking screws of the the floor certainly saves my back

Wow! May have to check into this! I have used a grabber stick to pick up small items but not one with a magnet.

Ya, I have a grabber thingy my wife gave me when I was recovering from back surgery years ago.  I still use it often to retrieve things in the shop that always seem to fall somewhere hard to reach.  They are very handy.  Mine is starting to wear out.  My need to replace it.

I keep a magnetic pick up tool on almost all of my equipment.  One of the collapsible ones - like a pen.  Usually the things I drop like scrollsaw blades and drill bits are light enough to pick up with one of those.

Someone here lead me on MMaannyy years back.  Julie it might be you.  I have use this type of magnet like Forever.
