Title: Name pattern program

Hi, Steve and Russ,
Someone on the scrollsawer.com site was asking for a name pattern to be made and
another member recommended Steve's name pattern maker. Another member said
that program should not be down-loaded because it contained malware, etc.

Just wanted to let you know in case there are problems to be resolved with the program
down-load or any other necessary actions.


Here are the replies as they were sent to the scroller.com site.

Go to "scrollsawworkshop.com" and Steve has a name pattern program to download.


A word of caution! If you download the name pattern program mentioned you will get unwanted crap downloaded to your computer. Then you have to go into your programs and uninstall the junk. And I mean junk! And it resets your home page too!
And it also installed some adware and malware which my kapersky program caught and fixed. Took me an hour to straighten everything out. What a disaster.

I can assure you Steve Good does not put malware/viruses etc in any of his Name Pattern Programs. When you visit his site you should notice the Site Lock Malware Free emblem in the right bottom corner of the page. His site is constantly being monitored to insure it is malware free.  :)

The person that made that statement either didn't download Steve's program from Steve's site and stumbled upon it on a rogue site or is trying to mislead people.

I would be willing to bet that they are misleading people because they have nothing better to do.  :o

Have to agree 110% with you on this one Russ.
As long as I have been a member here, I have never encountered
any problems as far as malware/viruses.
Steve and yourself do one heck of a job keeping this site clean.

I downloaded it with no problem. I have never had a single problem with anything that I have downloaded from Steve.  :)

Please don't shoot the messenger! LOL
I just thought it was worth bringing to your attention in case
you thought a rebuttal was in order or any other action on your part (or Steve's, actually).

The statement has been addressed  on the other site.  He is not normally a trouble maker and may very well have found it on a site which looked like it was legit.  He says it was Steve's site but not going to get into an argument over it.
