Title: Down
Post by: cdrover(Clyde) on March 13, 2012, 10:36:24 am
This is my 3rd day down with a pinched nerve. Has anyone else suffered this and when will it end? :(

OUCH!

Been There...Done That (many times)

Depending on location it could take a while...My best results were through my close friend who is a Chiropractor.

Good Luck...

I had troubble with that for years, and did the same thing you are doing. I went to the pain clinic and after a couple of visits and shots my back felt better than it did for 20+ years, then my leg was hurting and I went back to the pain clinic and in my lower back cartaliedge (sp) was growing (due to age) and pinching the nerves in my lower back. The Dr. scraped it all away and now I am doing fine.

Ah, yes. The "Golden years"

Hey Clyde, Sounds like you need a hot bath and a stiff drink!

Thanks folks, this is literally a "a pain of the butt." I am able to be on my feet, up right, for about 5 minutes now before the pain becomes too bad. That is an improvement over yesterday.  :(

Been there - done it.

I had all sorts of tests and physio and nothing worked until the Dr prescribed a girdle.  Wore it for a couple of weeks then I was able to do some exercises and everything has been good for over 10 years now.

30% of the strain on the back comes from the stomach.  That was my problem so loosing a few pounds helped too.

I hope you find the relieve soon.

All the best

Don

Sorry about your pain.
Hope you get over it soon.
I am very pain tolerant & that's not good.
Doctors tell me if I hurt that's OK but if I have pain to get my fanny to the doc.

Getting back on my feet, Can tolerate to walk for 5 minutes, but the pain in the right leg becomes terrible after that. Been home all week and only got to the shed once. Just went out to the shed to make sure all is OK, but leg pain wouldn't let me stay as long as I wanted. >:(

The surgeon told me I had herniated disc pinching a nerve.  He wanted to operate but wanted me to try physical therapy first.  I worked.  Been pretty much pain free for a couple of years.  They gave me some exercises to do but I'm to lazy to do them.
