For some reason today, when I made a cut, the paper/tape would not clear the cut and I could not follow the line without stopping and brushing off with my finger! I am new to scrolling and wandered if I was doing something wrong or had a problem with saw or blade adjustment? Was speed too slow or blade worn out or tube not blowing hard enough or??? I was using blue painters tape and 3M77 adhesive and #2 blade on 1/4" birch. I did not seem to have problem yesterday using #5 blade on 3/4 hard pine. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Tony, First off, What kind of saw are you using? was you speed set at the same as yesterday? It sounds like either the air blower tube was not directing the air to the blade or it was not blowing enough. If the speed was reduced, it's possible that it does not blow enough air at that speed. More than likely, the tube was not directed correctly.

I am using an Ex 21 and yesterday I had saw speed set 100% due to hard pine and thickness, so, maybe speed is my problem!?

Is your air tube pointed to the base of the blade?
-
Yes, tube is pointing to contact of blade and pattern.

Sounds maybe like a leak in the bellows....
