Where is the motor?   It must be tiny!  :)

Well, Lets see GB, Looks like the tension knob is at the back of the saw. One of the best features is a storage drawer with a knob! The most important feature is an industrial grade stand! It come with a tee handle tool which means you need it to change the blade, and did you notice the blades they recommend? They are pinned end blades. I like the most important marketing ploy, It is on backorder which means they have sold tons of them! ::) ;).
Hey GB, why don't you go over to HF and see if they will let you try it out, then report back to us ;D

I d/l'ed the manual!  The motor looks like the motor on my electric tooth brush!

I may be at HF this week and will look at this 'monster saw'!!!

Don't think I will be bringing one home!!!!!!!!

Not really interested in the saw, but the foot switches grabbed my attention.   What do you folks use - the deadman style or the on/off style?

At first glance it looked like the Hawk 226.  But then I see in the instruction manual that it takes pin end blades (killer there).  Also they state it has a one year warranty in two places, but then at the end of the manual it specifies 90 days.  What's with that?  As for not being in stock, it may mean they aren't really producing them in quantity as yet.  Maybe just testing the water?  The blade tension is in the front, but there is another knob (protrusion) at the back.  Not sure what that's for, unless they're doing the same thing as the Hawk and the Excalibur for adjustments.

If you look at the exploded view it does show a blade clamp knob. (Part # 77)  Actually is shows two, but only one is listed in the parts list.  With these knobs I'm sure one could use pin less blades.

I know Harbor Freight has a bad image for tools, but I've purchased many tools from there and have no problems with anything I've bought.  I have only purchased one "power" tool (a lathe) and that was just recently.  Other things have been hand tools, pneumatic tools, bits, blades, etc.

I don't work for them, but I'd consider it if there was one close to me!  ;D

I stopped at my local HF today wanting to check out the new scroll saw, but they didn't have it.  Maybe later.

That $299 price drops to $239 if you use the 20% discount coupon you can find in many places.

Sheila, the motor seems to be underneath the table.

seems to be a pretty simple construction.
