Title: Stalking Leopard
Post by: RFortier on January 30, 2012, 04:24:09 pm
I just finished this great picture of a stalking leopard. The pattern is by Kerry Hallam and was taken from the Scroll Saw Woodworking magazine. I cut it on an 11X14 Baltic Birch, stack of 3. I used flat blades, just can't seem to get used to spirals. Can't tell you how long it took because I don't keep track of my time. There aren't a whole lot of difficult cuts in this , just a lot of them. Hope you like it.

Wow, that is beautiful, you have the patience of a saint to do all of the many fret cuts. I would get dizzy trying to cut that pattern.

Thank you all for your postive comments. I really enjoy cutting these "crazy" patterns. Kerry Hallam is a very talented pattern designer and I've cut several of his other patterns. For those of you interested in this one it's available in the Spring 2009 issue of Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts. Thanks again for all your kind words!

Beautiful work Ray!  I've check out Kerry's blog where he has numerous patterns posted.  I think I'll have to get a few from him.  He has several tigers and my daughter just LOVES tigers!
