Title: need an idea for a game
Post by: Marcellarius on January 21, 2012, 12:21:02 pm
hello I'm Yentl, daughter of Marcel. :)

for a school project i have to make a (travel)game for more than 1 person.
on a 4"x4" ?" thick pine board.
the game should be played in the car, the train or the plain.
i don't want to make: tic-tac-toe :P (everybody does)
do you have some idea's or patterns of games i could make? ???

Yentl ;)

This page has a couple of games that are on my list of things to do. If you look at his other projects there are a couple more that may work.

Good luck, please let us know how it turns out. I'd be happy to help more if you need.

numbers game (basic design can adjust and or modify as needed)

NUMBER THE SPACES (EXAMPLE 1-8)
ATTACH THE SPINNER ARROW TO THE BOARD .
(HARDWARE: SMALL SCREW FOR ATTACHING SPINNER ARROW)

THE OBJECTIVE CAN BE FROM SPINNING THE HIGHEST NUMBER,  OR TOTAL OF MULITIPLE NUMBERS (EXAMPLE: TOTAL OF THREE SPINS)  OR SPINNING LOWEST NUMBER, ETC.

PLAYERS TAKE TURNS SPINNING

I saw a basketball game made from a woodworking club where the club makes the game and gives to kids for Christmas.the club is orange county woodworkers I recall.the game is all wood.the ball is wooden attached to a spoon that is plastic.you could build one on each side on a board and have 2 shooters.i saw this on you tube I think under basketball game.i don't see any plans for it but looks like a great toy.looks easy to build.hope this helps you.
