I got a new lathe for Christmas and here is the 3rd pen I made with it. I scrolled the deer head in the maple blank and added inlace to it. After it dried I turned it and this is what came out. No perfect but I am still learning. Bobby

Very nice Bobby. Turning pens seems to be addicting. Most every one who tries it seems to really like it. One of the nice things about pens is you can turn and finish one in a half-hour or so.
Did you use a CA finish? I like the scroll saw deer. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Bobby, Very nice pen! It can become very addictive. I have turned 100's of pens over the years. Sold a few, but most were given away as gifts.

Great pen Bobby! You will find the scroll saw and lathe can work well together.

Great pen Bobby! I wish I could learn ho to turn wood for pens. I guess you need a lath first. But, great job looks good.
