This is a Christmas Tree Decoration design I have made using CorelDraw - Any thoughts and comments please ??
-
The "&" is quite slim and will be a bit weak - but as it's an ornament it should be fine.
So my comment is:
Get in the shop and do "it" ;D
-
Thanks T fot the comment, I was debating whether to stretch the & so the thin bit touches the side to give it more strength.
-
naa, that would make it too big and too dominating.
cut it.
-
The outline is really wavy, not sure why. I agree with Torsten the "&" might need to be a little thicker. And I would move the "H" in Hazel could be moved so there is a little space you could cut. The design is fantastic. :)

well i think that Torsten and Russ said it all. other then that its a great pattern .

I am only trying to give a little constructive criticism, free hand designing is not easy. The design is fantastic and if this is one of your first I can't wait to see what else you make. You will only get better. :) :) :)

Thanks for all your comments, and the criticism is what I wanted, If you don't know what you're doing wrong, you cant fix it. The wavy lines on outside was my fault, I hit convert to curves (or something like that) by mistake then when I tried to move it , it went out of shape, I tried to sort it to no avail, since posting it I started again, did the pattern Identical but took Russ's advice and moved the H over a little, I'm now going through my fonts to see if there is a thicker design of the "&"

If it was my ornament to make, I wouldn't put the & in at all. Just have the names, the connection of the people is sort of implied by the hearts. Another option might be a plus sign +.
I really like the ornament, it would be a great wedding gift or Christmas gift for newlyweds. I made a similar design in a wall hanging for friends who go married earlier this year.
