We're having a lovely 30degree (Celsius) day today in my part of Australia.  But I must admit I still miss having a White Christmas like we had when I was little in the UK.

Oh sheila I always though Nova Scotia got quite a bit of snow in the winter?????

Marcel, somehow I think come Feb or March you will be glad to see it go away!

I'm happy to say the snow melted but we now have a heavy coat of frost on the ground.  We also had 4 days of nasty rainy weather so the snow was NOT a welcome sight.

Not as much as you would have thought!  In fact, the weather here seems just about the same as Chicago where I came from, except in summer we don't get that sweltering heat (thank goodness!)

I suppose I should have settled farther north, to the Yukon or something!  LOL  We have had rain all week and it is about 50 degrees Fahrenheit here today.  (Bummer!)  I do like the snow and love the change of seasons.  I will be looking forward to getting the 'chunky rain' and hope it gets here before Christmas.

Call me crazy!!!  :D  Sheila

Wait till Rob Roy chimes in, they have been having hurricane winds rain and now snow. He would probably rather have your little skiff of snow.
Y'all can have your white Christmas I'll be happy with just rain thanks.

I know! I know!  What is wrong with me???   Psychologically speaking, something comforting and good must have happened to me in my childhood during winter.  Maybe that is why I am triggered with feelings of happiness when it snows.  (Or maybe I am just nuts!) LOL!  Either way - there is nothing we can do about it so we may as well be happy with it. :D

Hi there guys and gals, we've had a great week here in the West of Scotland. Wednesday,Thursday, 165MPH winds in places. 60,000 houses with no power. Wind turbines blown over, not to mention school buses tipped over. Fortunately no children in them. Friday morning we woke up to heavy snow.Today it is pouring down. All in all an exciting week lol.
Rob Roy.

Hi Scrollgirl thanks for that. I forgot to mention that most of the bridges on the main routes were all closed,as were all the airports, some of which had winds gusting up to 95 MPH and i'm sure that would be scary trying to land in that!!. However, all is quiet for the time being. Fingers crossed !!!!

hope your power wasn't off too long, or have you got a generator to power the scrollsaw and kettle (the most important items lol)

Hi Keefie, we were lucky. No power cuts but we had voltage drops, which were a bit awkward when you were in the middle of something on the computer.
I have Old faithful, the camping stove, in the shed and the biggest kettle and mug you have ever seen LOL. Best wishes from a wet and cold Scotland.
Rob Roy.

Sign me waiting for spring!
