Help, my friend had a tube of CA glue explode in her hands and it went into her diamond ring - how can she remove it???

Try Acetone...how about her hands? Same thing would work on them also.

Nail polish remover. It has acetone in it and is much gentler.  :)

Acetone works well. Soak the ring for a while then gently scrub with an old tooth brush . This should get most of it. The little crevices may require a longer soak and more scrubbing. Also getting the ring professionally cleaned will help also.
It will come off, don't ask how I know ...

Methinks that Katie is admitting to an OOOOOOPS!

I know acetone works well on fingers! Yes I have done it!

Not on my diamond, but I did get a ring covered in CA glue.
I used to work at a company that used it alot. I was repairing a doll's head and talking to the cute engineering intern and didn't pay attention to what I was doing and super glued my hand inside the head. I didn't tell the guy, and did eventually get my hand out but it too a while. My  boss gave me a really hard time about it, but didn't tell my dad (he was also working at the company at the time and didn't think much of "cute engineering intern", lol)

Remember folks...A lot of surgeons use a very similar adhesive to close wounds! It is the same basic formula, just manufactured and used under sterile conditions and then they just let the natural oils in your flesh seep under the adhesive and eventually lift it off.
That was how the incision was closed and sealed when they did my 'implant' under my scalp.

And I have used plain ol' super glue on a number of occasions to close cuts on my own hands.

CA glues are a great way to remove a splinter to!  When you get a stubborn splinter, just put a drop on top and give it a few minutes, then peel it off and it will often take the splinter with it.

Been there done that GB. Peroxide, super glue, antibiotic ointment, bandage, who needs a doctor.  ;)

Ever since I got my Worksharp 3000, my kitchen knives are as sharp as razor blades. When I'm cooking dinner, there is nothing more aggravating than nicking myself. I can't be cooking with blood flowing from my finger! That's where a bottle of CA glue comes in handy. A drop or two of thick CA usually does the trick!
