Does anyone know how reliable the air blower bellows on the Excalibur EX-16 is? The bellows on my machine at present, a "Clarke" cheap and nasty lol, lasts for about 4 blades use then splits, I've been buying bellows in 20's. which is another reason I'm changing my machine.

I have the EX-21 and they are fine. I have had it since March and not a problem. I LOVE the saw! I haven't heard of anyone else having a problem with them either. You won't regret making the change! The Excaliburs are wonderful saws! There is usually some 'tweaking' needed in the beginning (there are lots of sites and people to help you with that) and then they are good to go. You will be amazed at the difference. Good luck with your new machine! :)

thank you Sheila, I look forward to getting it, it will be great to change a blade without having to worry about little adaptors and hex keys lol

Oh, I know what that is like Keefie!! I used to have saws like that too. You will wonder what took so long! :) Keep us informed as to how you do!

I have the EX16 and the blower works fine.
When you buy the saw, the blower is on the left side I mounted mine on the right side.
What ever works for you.

What kind of "tweaking" we have to do???

I know that many needed to slightly turn the motor just a couple of degrees in order achieve the absolute minimum front to back blade movement. This is just a slight twist where I believe you loosen the screws and turn the motor just a bit. (Help me here those of you who also did this!) My partner Keith was the one who did this adjustment and it really makes the saw near-perfect in this respect. I believe that if you purchase the saw from Ray at Seyco, it is already adjusted for you. Overall it is a beautifully preforming saw and I feel well worth the money. :)

My EX21 is 7 or 8 years old and the blower has never failed me.

thanks everyone, The decision has been made, I go to Axminster Power Tools next Thursday, they promise to have one in for me by then.

I have just purchased one last week and am still setting it up so hopefully i will have an update on it soon,it looks a powerful machine though.

got mine home yesterday evening, spent today setting it up. Only prob so far is too much front to rear travel on blade, not yet managed to sort that yet, but will look at it again in the morning. Apart from that it's a good machine, strong and well built and 100% easier to change blades and feed blades into those little holes lol.

When my blower split I got an aqurium air pump, nearly silent and plenty of power.
