Not sure if this is a computer question, a ask Steve question or a general question, but;
Could someone please tell me how to download Steve's Oval keyring pattern maker.  It keeps wanting me to get WinZip and I don't want to pay for it.  I have tried and tried saying open with Office and the WinZip window still pops up.  Help please.

PLease click with thew right mouse key on the file and "extract".
Another really good option is to use a program for zip files. 7zip (http://www.7zip.org) is free and does the same as winzip.

You beat me to it Torsten, I was gonna suggest 7zip too. Also, you can download the WinRar program under the trial version...it pretty much never ends (the trial that is!)
