I'm looking for thinner pieces of lumber. At the moment I use plywood of 6mm (1/4") 14mm (2mm bigger than 1/2") and 3/4"...
The only "real" wood I'm able to find on shops where I live is: Pine and Fir. But the thinner table is 14mm... I cannot find other kind.
It's very stupid to ask an american supplier to send to me pieces of european woods!!
Anybody in Europe or Italy can help me?
Ciao.

Can't help you as to specific places to find thinner wood, but if you have a band saw and planer you can re-saw anything you've got on hand to any thickness you want. It's what I do as sources for thinner wood for me is a 150 mile round trip.

Hi Ciao,
No the problem. I am lucky they at least sell 9 en 12 mm plywood here. I live in the Netherlands and have been searching for about a year to find as you call it "real wood". I find it via google search by asking for hardwood in the Netherlands and then tried to narrow it down and guess what 15 km from home I found a wood supplier. Maybe searching google will give you something closer home. Website of the place I found is www.dikhout.nl. They don't have standard sizes, so you will have to resaw some stuff or asked somebody with a bandsaw and planer to help you. I need to get those still, it's on my wishlist. If you want to know more or maybe are in the area 8), send me a PM.
Hope you find something thet is of help.
