Our woodworking group was invited to have a presence at a new Agricultural fair, both to promote woodworking and to sell anything we had. The weather turned out less than perfect - windy from Hurricane Irene, so we couldn't really display well. I did sell one piece that I made a number of years ago titled Sailing Away. The price tag had taken flight and I accidentally sold it for less than I had intended. My problem, not the customer's. He came back by the table several times and was looking at another piece which was priced more reasonably. He said "oh, you must have mis-priced the piece I bought earlier. Can I pay you more for it?" After I picked my jaw up from the pavement I thanked him and said no. He came back by later to be sure his credit card processed correctly because he hadn't gotten his email confirmation yet. He make sure I had his business card so that if the transaction wasn't successful I could let him know and he'd pay me with cash. How often do you encounter that?
BTW - I used the Square credit card processor - worked great!

That's a great story Cathy! I teach scroll saw lessons at Woodcraft in Ventura, CA. To promote my classes, I have several pieces on display at the store. I got a call from the store owner one day who had a customer who wanted to by one of my pieces and wanted to know how much I wanted for it. I told him $50, and he said he would call me back and let me know. A few minutes latter, he calls back and told me the customer thought it was not enough and paid $70 for it!
So yes, It does happen!

Congrats. Send them my way. Seems like nobody wants to pay a fair price for anything.
