Title: Decorative Violin Pattern by Steve
Post by: eaglehawk on May 05, 2010, 10:27:51 am
I wanted to share a couple of pictures of the Decorative Violin that I made.  I really enjoyed making this and had alot of fun.  Originally made for a family member, when showing pictures of this to some friends they have asked if they could buy it from me.

That's great cutting, the choice of wood makes it look like a miniature violin. I've cut the pattern too out of maple and it looks very nice. How would you display this? Would you just lay it on a shelf, or put it in a stand?

I hadn't thought of how to display it yet.  I used poplar for the main part, and for the bow and the other pieces I used some scrap oak I had laying around the garage.
