Title: Computer speed

 What is considered normal. speed for a computer, had mine tested and the download speed was 56 and upload speed was 13     Edward

that depends on the connection your internet provider has given to you. Do you have a dial up connection? the 56 reminds me of 56kb/s, which is a typical sped for dial up.

If the download speed was 56kb/s and upload speed was 13kb/s that is 5.6mbps/1.3mbps witch is very slow like Torsten said, dial up speed. For instance I am running 40,000kb/s (40mbps) download and 20,000 (20mbps) upload.

I tried several of the speed tests by different sites, and didn't get 2 that agreed, even from the same site. I think they give low readings so that you will buy their software. Bit of a scam I think.
I don't trust them.
