Title: Best of Show

I entered my cutting of "Battle Cry", a pattern by Kerry Hallam, in our local Interstate fair and won the "Best of Show" in the woodworking category. I've never entered any contest like that before. I put in 3 items in 3 different catagories and won a 1st place in each, but I was surprised and pleased to win this award. I've had this cutting at a couple of shows lately and it sure does draw some attention. Hope you like it.

Congratulations, Great job cutting and a fantastic pattern.  The frame really matches and sets it off.

Excellent cutting Ray.  The Viking is a tough cut and deserves the award, as well as any other cutting you entered.  Thanks for sharing them with us.  Keep up the great work!

When I saw that pattern in the magazine all I could think was "Holy Crap, that would take me all winter!"

You did a fantastic job, obviously!

Deserves every award you receive....

Ray all I could think of to say when I layed eyes on your Viking cutting is....
....WOW!  Your finished craft is simply put....Beautiful....  Looks better than the picture in our Mag.  I have had THOUGHTS about cutting it.  Maybe when this HEAT WAVE flies by.  Later....  Danny  :+}

Thanks for all the kind words. I've got to say that this isn't actually the hardest piece to cut, but it does take a lot of time.
