Here are the first 2 coins I have cut, a bit rough but a start, the silver one is a 2 shilling piece dated 1934 and the copper one is a penny and dated 1960, these coins are no longer used in NZ as we are on decimal currency, them about 4 years ago the re sized all our coins and now the older coins are of no spending value

Coins can be good to cut, don't use the old ones though ... never know they might be worth something sometime. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Nice work Jimbo
Got some old Australian penny's that would be good for that too.
What blade did you use? and do you use a holder to hold the coin while cutting?
-
you need a jig to hold the coins Oges as they are to small to control, I used a #2 blade and it was an old one that I have I keep most of my worn blades and these worked a treat as all the cutting is done at the higher end of the blade because the coin is higher in the jig, does that make sense???
