So GB, Who is this Hudy that you speak of? ::)
-
Arthritic fingers and sweaty Weather do not bode well for typing on the laptop in the garage!
-
GB you're a poser ;D laptop on the garage... *tsts*
-
Torsten...always take ny little $100 'netbook' with me to the garage/shop when I'm working....
Had it almost 4 years now and love it...teeny, tiny and easy to cover with plastic wrap to keep the dust out!
I have to keep up with everything going on in the world.
Little EeePC running Ubuntu 10.04

nice, those machines are way underrated.
-
I have a dedicated laptop and scanner/copier/printer in my workshop.
-
I have cool breezes, on cool days, and warm breezes on hot days, plus the neighbors cats passing through, the ever present insects, also the sound of rain on the metal roof, like being inside a snare drum. Top that you guys and your compukers and printers. LOL

(http://www.torsten-harms.de/fun/a075.gif) I just nearly spit my coffee at the keyboard Gabby!
@ Russ
Isn't there too much dust for the printer? That one would not survive long in my shop.

Torsten the great part is it's all true! I guess one of these days I'll clean up the disaster a bit and take a photo. The wife is about to disown me anyway. ;D
What makes the whole thing hurt is I have a perfectly good 24' by 24' shop building 300 feet minimum from power. figure at least $10 bucks a foot to power it just by bootlegging the wires from the house.
If I went to the power company they would want to run in and plant a pole or 2 and hang a meter, blah blah blah. Lots of $$$$

Gabby, Just get one of those pedal operated scroll saws and you won't need any power in that shop!
-
@ Torsten
I have a cover for it when I am not using it, but to answer your question dust is not a problem. I have a very good dust extraction system. I also have a TV, DVD with Surround Sound, CD Stereo System, AC and Heating oh and a Refrigerator.

Russ, I was appalled to read how primitive your work shop is. Maybe we could take up a collection for you so you could add a jacuzzi and steam room ???
-
What, No kitchen sink?

Bathroom with shower?

Don't forget the hot and cold running redheads so he won't have to strain himself getting another cool one or flipping chanels. Some poor guys just have it so tough. LMAO ;D

Judy, as you can see nothing has changed here. We start one subject on then fly around in ten different directions ;D ;D Can't seem to help ourselves. Hope each day is getting better than the last and that you will be back up and at it before too much longer. Marion
