Hi folks it has been a while since I have been in and around :-[. I have to make it a point to connect more often, there is a lot of new stuff posted since my last visit. Here are a few pictures of my latest intarsia piece. I am sorta proud that I persevered and finished the project, God knows I felt like burning it a few times. The 3-D effect was the greatest challenge. The pattern is by JG Roberts and has taken me about 5 months to do. Let me know what you think, all feedback is good. I have three years to retirement and this one is going up in my office for everyone to see ;D

The only thing missing is you with a beach bunny on your lap and a tall cool one in your hand, don't forget the sunblock. LOL
Looks great!

In Judy's piece she said she used western red cedar. I used popular, WRC, pine, mahogany, and some walnut that came from a dresser that was part of a bedroom set my parents brought back is the 60's, around here the type of furniture was known as Holywood furniture. The furniture became popular because similar syyles were featured in shows like "I love Lucy, and the Honeymooners". My parents are gone now but a piece of them lives on in this piece. It is sorta special to me. Thanks for the comments. BY the way did anyone see the cat that is sitting in the chair??? My brother -in -law says that he saw one there...
