Title: NASCAR....:+}
Post by: Danny on July 09, 2011, 07:15:13 pm
Howdy all you race fans....  Well we have a small crowd getting ready to enjoy watching one of our favorite sports.  Done been into the chips n dips and have the grilled port chops smokin and all the other goodies inside.  Just wanted to see if we have any more Nascar fans on board.  Do we?  Tonight I would like for Kyle Bush to get lucky.  And even Casey Kane would be ok.  So how was all of your Saturday early evenings going?  Later....  Danny  :+}

Hey Danny, Yup, sitting here watching the race in Kentucky. It's a nice little track. Don't have a favorite anymore, but I root for JR., Carl and several other drivers. As for the #18, I love the smell of burning M&M's! ;D ;D

Yep, congrats Danny. Looks like your guy won tonight. Junior blew his left front tire and tore his fender off with about 10 laps to go. We'll try again next week.

The Bush brothers are both really good drivers. If they win they deserve it!

Wow! You guys/Gals make me happy knowing we have Nascar in common.
And YEA YEA YEA YEA....  Kyle won another race.  YEA!  Thanks all for your comments.  Now I am $50 bucks richer.  Will help when we get to Tunica this Wednesday.  Annual Vacation.  Yea!
    I predict that Kyle Bush will win the Championship for this year.
    I also predict that Jr. will not win a race this year.  Later....  Danny  :+}

Hey Crusty, I find it interesting that some folks follow a car brand. For me it is the driver. It doesn't matter if they drive Chevy, Ford, Dodge or Toyota. Quite often a team will chance from one make to an other, then what? You no longer root for that driver?
I mean no offense, I just find it interesting!

Hey Danny, I have been a NASCAR fan since high school. I grew up in Riverside CA. When NASCAR would come to Riverside Raceway we would all go to party. At that track they had very little grandstand seating. It was mostly general admission. You would find a good place to park and sit along the track side and have a party!
So I have been a fan since the late sixty's!
I have seen races at Riverside, Fontana, Phoenix and Atlanta. Yes I am a fan, but I am not a fanatic!

Dan you brought back fond memories about my doings in Riverside and YES I was into a crowd that ventured into the raceway a couple times and Wow!  It was so much fun as I remember. Wasn't much of a fan back then.  Was into Cycles.  Mostly Motocross type.  This was back in the ----70's----Just Love that period.  Especially the music.  Anyway....Long time ago....  Danny:+}

Hell Danny that only seems like the day before yesterday.  ;D

Has anyone noticed how hard Jeff Gordon has been struggling? Just a couple of years ago he was right up there with the big boys.

Yea Gabby....Being a fan of Jeff Gordan I also feel he is on his way to being like the average old timer where his youth is gone and reflexes are slower and sight isn't like it was etc., etc. and thats where most of the good drivers are at present.  The young ones like Kyle, Kasey, David Regan and others are gonna be this new generation of Jeffs and Jimmys.  Later....  Danny  :+}

Heck Danny he's only 40, should have plenty of it on the ball. I hope he makes a come back i liked his style. Many of the drivers were winning way after age 40.

I figured 40 wasn't all that old, here is what I found.

Gabby....And I respect each driver and am always excited when Mark wins a race.  Last year was his big time.  Just feel its a kind of seasonal change with a lot of older that 40 drivers.  Jimmy is the exception, but hey he's around the same age as Jeff was when he won all them races and championships.  My feelings are that Jimmy Johnson will go down in the books as The Best All Around Nascar driver in history.  The drivers of the 70's - 80's were in a different class.  Cars were like normal road cars.  Tracks were different and not many rules like today.  Anyway I have only been a fan since 1992, so didn't pay any attention to the really old timers.  Later....  Danny  :+}

I've only been watching it for a few years, but get a kick out of it!
Some of the sports car races and even a formula race now and then, even watched some AMA races too, those guys don't have any nerves, maybe no brains either!
I just looked up those statistics as I though some might enjoy those leg wetting facts. LOL
