Title: Chess Set
Post by: chips on May 01, 2010, 05:39:33 pm
Here's a chess set from Diana Thompson's book I'm kind of proud of. The pieces are Pine and Mahogany. As you can see the board is kind of crowded so am making a new board out of Maple and Walnut that will have storage space underneath for the pieces. The board is about done but don't expect to see a picture of that for quite a while.... like this Winter possibly.

You have reason to be proud there.  That is a family heirloom.  Thank you for sharing.

Hi, They look great! I may try that one of these days. I am working on 3d Tic-Tac-Toe pieces now. I decided to make them from zebrawood, I think it's a mistake, but I have to finish now

 Crusty,

Have thought about that 3D tic tac toe thing too. But I have a hard time winning at the flat type. I sure hope you'll post a picture of it when your done.

Thanks for the translation Janet. I see on another thread that Vista has a translator on board. Will have to look that up. Amazing what you can learn on here.
