I added a picture to see how it worked and don't see where i would get a link to paste into a message.  What am i missing?

@Dan:

copy the link in the message and select the link. then press the 'insert image' button just above the smiles.
this add [.img] my mugshot [./img] tags and you see the picture.

Ahh - OK, YOu have to click on the thumbnail in the gallery and the link shows under the picture once it's opened.  Sorry didn't try that.  So, i'll see if i can add the image here.

I guess you clicked the third button 'insert hyperlink'

this add's [.url and /url] tags: hyperlink

if you take the second button 'insert image' you get this:

this way it shows the image in the topic instead of opening a new window.

thanks for your patience Marcellarius.  I finally figured it out. If those buttons were any more obvious, they would have bitten me!  And believe it or not, i make a living helping people use our computer software at work....
