Title: Hello from Ky.

This is a new adventure for me. I been millin my own wood and enjoying woodworking for a few years now.I always wanted to get into this hobby so many years ago,,but with anyone starting off in woodworking it can get into alot of money...I thought I had all I needed, but oneday a friend of mine asked if I did any scroll work. I never tryed it and found this site tru you tube looking into this. Always admired the people that do scroll work,,and I thought I'll give it a shot myself. I'l be searching,,and asking alot..I think this is gonna be great to get into!!!

It looks like alot of fun...I'm not wanting to get into it for making a profit,,but a hobby to enjoy...I been trowing away alot of small pieces and think this will solve that prob.! Thank you again...Gonna hit the bed...Night shifter here.....Take care and have fun all....

Welcome from Mississippi ... my brother in law does woodworking and I just brought back his "throw-a-way" box of goodies.  I just dig until I find something that will work.  Couldn't ask for a nicer group of people than here.

     Stipes: You've found the best site for scrolling their is. Soon you'll be making some of the finest saw dust money can't buy. You'll get better and better and enjoy life. The hours will go by quickly as you scroll. Enjoy my friend as I know you will...have a Happy sawdust life.

Welcome to the forum for one state south of you. As others have said, this is an addicting hobby, lots of fun and this is a great place to hang out. Ask you questions and there is always someone who knows something about it!

Thank you all for all the warm friendship...I applogise I havent got to be on much...Workin way too much,,and that isnt a bad thing the way things are now days,,but have a tv stand I'm finishing up on with the little time I have...
     My scroll saw still havent came in from sears yet, but they says it will be coming in between the 16th or 20th...I cant say I went cheep cause it's a 18 inch and I never had my hands on a scroll saw,,but maybe to me it is mid grade...When it comes in I'll post a newbe point of view about how it is to use being a first timer,,and we will see how things turn out with this saw....I'm pretty excited about it comin in soon......
