Title: Finished product....Yea!
Post by: Danny on May 26, 2011, 02:58:02 pm
This Indian was designed by our very own Russ back a couple years ago.  I had a lot of fun cutting it.  Started using the UR#5 blade and then the ur#3, but wasn't happy with the tight turns needed, so tried a UR#1 and Bingo.  It cut so, so smooth and almost 100% accurate.  Oh yea I stacked two using good ole Lowes quarter inch Red Oak.  Its really only 3/16" thick.  Anyway the bottom piece came out with very, very little fuzzies.  I was impressed, so I finished it as if it were the top.  You be the judge.  I would love any and all Pros and Cons.  Thanks ....  Danny  :+}

It took me a minute to figure out what was different, the link titles should have told me right off. I knew there was something different. Danny you sly devil you reversed them, one looks left and one looks right.
Good job on both.

WELL DONE!

Was that 'oak ply' or solid oak?

C'mon Gabby...I do that all the time and people think I cut two different versions...stack three or four and flip/flop the inner pieces to get different views.

GB it just shows to go ya, I'm still a newbie, I've not attempted a stack cut as yet. I'm having enough grief with a single 1/4" ply. LOL

You could hang those two on opposite sides of a room and not say anything...just play with folks' heads until they figure it out!

Thanks to the Wonderful Forum that Steve Good put together long ago I have met many, but especially my very good friend form Holland Marcel and I have been sharing history with each other along with also sharing Scrolling tips.  The reason I finished my indian first is because I am HAPPILY RETIRED and Marcel is still in the working force.
     Thank all for your posts.  Made my day....  Danny  :+}
