Title: My latest.
Post by: yankeebum2 on May 25, 2011, 09:48:14 pm
This is my first pattern made. Made it for my Sister in Law.  Made from 1/8 BB. Cut with FD NS blades.  Frame was bought at local Dollar Store.  Thank you Marion for your input on changing the eyes.

If that little guy was darker he would be a twin of my ex's puppy!

Great job on the pattern and the cut!

First or not, that turned out great. Good job. Must feel good to start with a picture and end with a portrait and know you did it all yourself.

what program did you use to create this? Everytime I try I fail at making realistic portraits..

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. Yeah it did feel good to make my own pattern then cut it.

@EdwardW I used gimp. I watched Travis videos at SSV. It was very informative. The videos are long but worth it.  I watched then once then put my ipad next to my computer and followed along step by step the second time watching. Gonna try posting a link to to the videos for you.
