Title: Steve's Tongue Drum --- Modified
Post by: Ronmedeiros on May 19, 2011, 06:06:12 pm
Made this for my 15 year old grandson so I decided to substitute his name for the leaves.  The drum sticks had me scratching my head.  I came up with using 5/8 x 1/2" pvc for the handles and sanded Shaker Coat Pegs for the tips.  Now to sand and paint the sticks and stain the drum.  Feel free to copy.   :-X

Well done and a very 'individual' gift for a teen!

What is the wood and how will you finish the piece?

GB - the wood is aspen which I might use lemon oil on it, as far as the drum sticks just some white paint.
