Title: Gray Beard...foxit ?????
Post by: dunk on April 26, 2011, 12:44:22 pm
Gb,
How do I get foxit to become my pdf default viewer instead of adobe?  Do you think it would be okay to just get rid of adobe?

If I remember correctly when you download and Install it there is a point where it asks if you want it to be the 'default' and you just click the button.I keep both on my machine in case something won't open in Foxit but that has not happened yet.
On my laptop Foxit is the only reader I have and it works just fine by itself.

I use it for proofreading the various jobs I work on and everyone that gets my mark-ups says they like it better and eventually they convert to it!

check this -> http://www.ehow.com/how_5959350_do-default-pdf-viewer-xp_.html

can't explain it better.
Afterwards test it by double clicking a PDF-file. foxxit should take action automatically.

I downloaded foxit and I love it.  I was having to do the repair thing on adobe every 2-3 weeks and it was getting exasperating.  There is a time where you get to accept it as your default pdf viewer.
